The City of Augusta is committed to creating safe, stable, and affordable housing opportunities for residents throughout our community. Through the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH), Augusta is bringing together residents, community leaders, housing professionals, government agencies, nonprofits, and other partners to develop locally driven solutions to our housing challenges.
GICH begins as a three-year program that provides communities with training, technical assistance, collaboration, and access to housing and community development expertise. The goal is to help Augusta develop and implement a practical, community-informed plan that strengthens neighborhoods and expands housing opportunities.
